Ms. Ginger the librarian recommends a wonderful book for 5th graders called Epic, by Conor Kostick. Epic is about people from earth who must leave it and populate another planet. On their new planet, they have outlawed all violence. The way they solve their differences is to enter into a virtual reality video game and fight their battles there. This book is intriguing and helps us see what kind of world we would have if everyone spent most of their time playing video games.
